Food was good, service not so much. Checked with staff prior to ordering about the lunch special that was offered after 3pm. Ordered something off of that menu and was still charged $5 more for the regular dinner price. Even after informing them that I checked with someone and ordered off of the lunch menu...their advice was to "make sure you say lunch special next time". Even after I specifically pointed to the item on the lunch special when I ordered. I came here after seeing the advertisement for boba milk tea...it's not worth it. The milk tea was powder and water mixed together. For $2.50, I could get a real milk tea elsewhere. Won't be coming back.

I love this place! I've been coming here since it opened, and now I have everyone I know coming here too. It has a great family atmosphere, which makes you feel cozy being there. I suggest coming here for lunch, great deal and it is sure to fill you up. My favorite dish is the Lemon Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. They also make milk teas too, which are so full of flavor. I have yet to have a bad experience here and I've been coming for years.

I ordered through http://Eat24.com and what a giant mistake that was!It took over 2 hrs to deliver our food.WORST RESTAURANT EVER!After calling the restaurant 3x to only have been lied to about where our order was, our food finally arrived. It was mostly sushi and fried rice/dumplings, the hot items were all cold as ice, and the sushi smelled like it has been sitting in a poorly running cooler for days and was some of the worst looking fish I've ver seen (light opaque yellowtail? Spicy Tuna Roll that smelled like rotten fish). We are beyond disappointed, contact Eat24 and they tell us to contact the Best Taste for any concessions/refunds for this order....... HUH? I ordered through http://Eat24.com/, not the Best Taste website, why would I need to call the restaurant?I call the restaurant, they tell me to "put the food out"so they can pick it up for a full refund. Well I did just that. And guess what, an hour later and no one had picked it up........I will be calling the Health Inspector on Monday, I don't trust this place at all and neither should you.

Delivery very fast, but they charge extra. General Tso's Chicken + Honey Walnut Scallops + rice came to $36. I wouldn't have minded so much except it was all thick, fried breading with hardly any chicken or scallops. I would love to find a Chinese restaurant with much fewer items on the menu that they actually make from scratch. It seems every one gets their items from the same frozen Chinese restaurant food mega-factory.

Sighhhh.Somehow spent $46.44 at this place for delivery, honey walnut prawns, garlic chow mein, chicken fried rice, and a large hot & sour soup. Like everyone else said, food was delivered exceptionally fast but the food was so bland. The shrimp looked very plump but after taking off its battered coating, I unveiled a very tiny shrimp. It seems they are jipping quality to save costs to tun a profit. This place cannot shine a light to Hunan's in Davis. :(Out of everything I ordered, the noodles were probably my favorite. Except it had water chestnuts in there and I hate water chestnuts. Boo...so disappointed :(I usually really look forward to chinese leftover to eat the next day but the quality and taste of these dishes were just so awful that I had to toss it.Oh and $4 delivery charge that I was not informed about )=[Should I even give it a second chance for the sushi menu??? I don't know.. what do you think? A chinese establishment trying to serve Japanese food.. hmmmmm....

I ordered from here a couple times while I was in the hospital. Hospital food was completely inedible so I was very happy to find a place that delivers to the hospital. The delivery service is great. They delivered the food right to my room.I had the beef & broccoli, cashew chicken, and egg-rolls. All were excellent. Highly recommended

came into this restaurant without much expectation. a restaurant that serve sushi and chinese food....really?? the only reason I come here is because this is the closest chinese restaurant to my bf's apartment.I looked at the menu, my immediate reaction was "this is expensive." While we were thinking whether to look for another chinese restaurant in the area, we decided to give it a try.We ordered 2 very safe dishes, sweet and sour pork and beef chow fun. What made me upset is that all I have is fork and plate....WHERE IS MY BOWL AND CHOPSTICKS??Food came. I had my first bite of the sweet and sour pork.....it's cold. I was surprise to notice that they probably pre-made it. HOW HARD IT IS TO MAKE SWEET AND SOUR PORK WHEN THE CUSTOMER ORDERED IT??The only positive I have about this restaurant is the beef chow fun. I requested them to add more sauce to make it less dry. and I guess that's why they have to make that separately....When we asked to box up the leftover, the waiter boxed everything up into one box......What worse is that the entire family (at least I felt like that way) and they were screaming at each other, and kids are running around.if I am coming back here next time, (only if my bf really want to come here), I will tweak something from the menu so at least my food will be served hot.an overall two stars rating is a very generous review to my experience.

I received a flyer on my door and decided to give it a try because the Chinese place near me is just horrid and there is no other Chinese place that delivers until now. The place is named "Best Taste," but not sure where they are hiding the best. I am a big Chinese food hustler who loves the stuff. I have eaten Chinese from all over the world and there is only one place outside of China you can experience the best, and that is in San Francisco. I ordered the dinner for two "A" and it was $14.95 per person, and once the total was complete it was around $50.00. They charge for all the little things including delivery, and this made me hesitant to tip the delivery guy, but I did out of a feeling of obligation. The food is just average and nothing special, but if you are hungry and have no choice then this place will do you, and disappoint all in the first bite. The girl who took my order was kind and helpful, and they even throw in a free Chinese calendar which is lovely, but still I am wanting food. Fried rice is average, Chow Mein is average, Egg Rolls average, sweet and sour pork is poor, and I won't discuss the rest of the meal, it was nothing to write home about, but worth writing a sub-par Yelp review. If you have a favorite Chinese place I recommend to stay there, if you are really hungry then you can give this a try, but it will not place a party on your taste buds.

Oh so good. So very, very good. I am drunk on Kung Pao chicken right now. Delicious. I tried this place because it's right next to my temporary office and I am so glad I did. You get a ton of food for $8 (lunch special) and it's really really good. The owner is super sweet and everyone who works there is also very nice. What a great place.

Disappointing. We only tried the Chinese food and ordered for delivery. They forgot the egg rolls but since they were free I can't say it cost me anything other than enjoyment. The Kung Pao chicken was bland, aside from the huge doses of peanuts in it. The hot and sour soup wasn't exactly the 'hot' level of spiciness I requested, but other than that it was just ok. The Mu Shi Pork was one of the better dishes. It's very heavy on the vegetables with not so much pork... they are generous with the plum sauce though which I appreciated. Getting more pancakes cost a couple bucks extra, I dunno about all that. The fried rice was also good, but I can't say I've had too many bad friend rices in my life. All in all, delivery was fast and courteous but the food was just meh and left a lot to be desired. Maybe I should've gone with General Tso's or the Honey Walnut everyone else recommends....

This is one of my favorite restaurants. It's my go-to sushi place when I want inexpensive but satisfying sushi. It's also my family's place to go to when we want fairly authentic and inexpensive Chinese cuisine.Service: I have ordered take out, delivery, and dined in at this establishment numerous times. Service is fast and friendly when taking out and ordering delivery. Dining in is an even better experience. The owner is such a nice lady and she makes my family, my friend's family, and everyone I bring here so welcome!Food: Sushi - Like I had said, this place is my go to for inexpensive and satisfying sushi. Do not expect 5 star sushi. Though, do not expect the worst either. I've always had fresh fish, especially the ika, which at other places I've been served old ika - yuck. Their specialty rolls are rather yummy. I think the most expensive roll is $15. Not bad. Honestly, I love their California Rolls. They taste kind of sweet.. and I like it!Chinese - I love the Chinese food here. It's sooo good. The sesame chicken and salt & pepper spare ribs are my favorite.I see people keep reviewing the chow mien and sweet and sour items negatively. Personally, I've never had their chow mien or sweet and sour (anything). I don't understand why anyone would order these items... Those dishes are so American influenced I don't think they'd be good at even a 5 star restaurant. Just my opinion.Overall, I highly recommend this place. Its very friendly, yummy and inexpensive.

This place gets one star for delivery, but that might only be because there is no star rating lower than one star. Alright, so if anyone knows a non-pizza place that delivers in the area other than here, I'm all ears. But we pretty much ordered from here knowing what to expect - shitty, gross Chinese food - and that's what we got. I like to eat food that doesn't make me feel gross for eating it. This is not one of those places. We ordered sushi, which was pretty small and tasted bland, but that was to be expected, and the General Tso and orange chicken. Both of these chicken dishes are exactly the same, but the orange chicken comes with a couple really thin orange slices on top of it (oh look, it's authentic orange!), and the General Tso's chicken is spicier and has chili slices or something, and maybe has more garlic or onion taste? I'm not sure. The chicken was battered in a way that reminded me of the thickness of tempura batter, but the chicken inside some pieces were way overcooked, hard, and dry. It seemed like the chicken pieces had been left out for a long time for them to do that. They actually make the chicken pieces fit the box, but I would say it's definitely not worth the price tag. I can get better chicken than those in Chinatown for half the price. Also, the chicken was pretty oily and kind of stuck all together, so pretty gross, too. The free egg rolls we got as part of the deal just tasted like standard veggie egg rolls. The small steamed rice we ordered was packed full in a regular sized takeout box, but it seemed old. The delivery provides two soy sauce packets and a container of hot mustard.I guess I might go here again if I want delivery that wasn't pizza... But even pizza seems like a better idea (and I really don't like eating pizza), despite the health concerns. It took about fifty minutes for the delivery to come, which was later than I expected, also.
